I need this.  Firstly I like a couple of telephone numbers to be
immediately available (not via my HUGE DATA address book), and
secondly when I get paged, I like to take quick notes without
having to open a WORD file.

STIKKA (S3a) is a quick access notelet taker which stores 16
separate notes ( a-p ) each of which is called up by pressing
it's initial letter.

Once on screen, the UP/DOWN arrows will move the highlighted
text bar through the message.  If the whole line is highlighted
then pressing any letter (or DEL) will erase the whole line and
replace it with the text you type.  If you wish to EDIT this line
instead of replace it, then press the LEFT arrow first - then edit
the line as usual.

If you close the memo with the ESC key, all the changes are forgotten
- its a bit like REVERT for that particular note.  If you press
ENTER however, the changes are stored.

The MENU control:

Also, single press keys are:

a-p  calls up each of the 16 notelets.
  q  calls up help  (as in Query?)
  s  plays STIKKA.WVE on the default drive.
  w  calls up help (as in Why...)
  x  closes STIKKA ( No prompting, but everything is saved to M:)
  z  Telephone number list (for DTMF dialling if you are lucky)


Installation.
------------

Put STIK.OPA anywhere, install it with (psion)-I
(an \APP\ directory is easiest)

M:\APP\STIK.OPA

All the following files should go into a \STI\ directory on your
DEFAULT drive.


I:\STI\STIKKA.FIL     This is a preloaded datafile with a sort of
                      online introduction into the use of STIKKA.  Once
                      read it can be renamed or deleted.

The following SOUND files are OPTIONAL and go into ANY WVE directory.

I:\WVE\sti1.WVE ... sti6.WVE
I:\WVE\STIKKA.WVE          This sound file can be played from STIKKA
                           the purpose being for prestoring DTMF codes
                           that some ansafones need, but some phones
                           will not do (i.e. 2 seconds tones etc)
I:\WVE\DICE.WVE            Sound effect.


(Exporting to other applications)
When you edit any of the notlets, a copy of this note appears in
STIKKA.OUT in the STI directory.  This is overwritten everytime that
another notelet is edited, but can be MERGED into the DATA or WORD apps.

I cannot promise to 'support' this, but please let me know of
any (more) programming ..er.. features.

V1.2a fixed keyboard response to upper case, and removed closure
      dialog so that RCOM and PsiWin can close it remotely.
V1.3  Fixed the glitch that occurred if you tried to get stikka
      to make a noise when SOUND was disabled.
      stevegodfrey@cix.compulink.co.uk did that bit.
      Oh, and the dice numbers are sti*.wve files now.
