Imagine6 CUP Documentation ============================ EditorGL test (PPC/3D hardware) Rev 1.0 29-May-2000 Martin McKenzie Copyright 2000 CADTechnologies This is a test program to demonstrate hardware accelerated OpenGL object display using StormMesa/Warp3D. This software attempts to open a 640x480 screensize, in the order of 24bit/16bit/15bit (if one fails, the next depth down is attempted). NOTE: Virge (CV3D) only supports hardware acceleration in 15Bit mode; Please email me if you require a version for this type of gfx card. To view this software, the following software must be installed prior to first use: StormMesa V3.1 Warp3D V2 Both of these can be obtained from the Haage&Partners WEB site: http://www.haage-partner.com/3dworld/index-e.htm When unarchived to a temporary directory, the following files will be available: GLtest - The executable GL-test.txt - This readme file MyWiz.wizard - GUI support file grand.bmp - Texture map enviro.bmp - Environment map Starting the executable from the shell, a quad view display should open (similar to the Imagine editor screen). The perspective window contains the area of interest, whilst the other views should remain blank. A menu is available from the perspective window, which enables the choices of displaying the perspective view in: Texture mapping mode Environment mapping mode Multi-texturing mode Hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse to observe the cube rotating Feedback is welcome! marty@cadtech.demon.co.uk -end-
