X DISC AND LORD HELMET HAND IN HAND X ___Just when you thought you had seen the last of Lord Helmet, the founder and main-editor of the prosperous RAW, he pops up again. This time working with the DISC team... ___Lord Helmet, considered to be the guru in the diskmag-scene, shocked us all when deciding to leave his baby, RAW behind. ASTRO was left in charge of RAW, doing a great job, but he never really managed to mount to Lord Helmet's standards. RAW, as we used to know it, slowly faded away... ___Today, Insomnia has learned to know that Lord Helmet will be back. Not with RAW, not with ROM, but with DISC, the infamous diskmag from the mediocre group Iris. ___Even though Lord Helmet claims he will not be the main-editor of DISC, he confirms that he will be involved... ___"I am not the main editor of DISC. You can consider me as a pointless spiritual guide, rather than an editor" ___With all due respect Lord Helmet, when have you ever managed to sit back and leave everything to the others? Through RAW we have learned to know that you like to be in charge. You like to be in control. Do you really expect us to believe that you're just going to be one amongst many in the crowd of DISC editors? ___"I will of course be writing articles too. Mainly in cooperation with Zerox, but I doubt that you will see many articles from me personally." ___That's what I thought. You will be writing steadily for DISC. (I told you. -Ed) ___"I am an editor in DISC. Yes, I am." ___Hum? Didn't you just claim you were no editor, rather a spiritual guide or is it just me? ___Well, whatever Lord Helmet means to say, our conclusion is that DISC will be out this summer with Lord Helmet as one of the editors. Maybe will he once again rise as one of the best editors around? It's certain that what DISC needs is a firm hand (Or rather a famous name. -Ed) keeping things under control. ___INSOMNIA has also gotten hands on the menu-panel of the "new" DISC. We studied, evaluated and searched it and we came to the conclusion that it most certainly could have been done better. The colors are sparkling, the design is neon-like and the buttons are alien-green. (Have a look for yourself. -Ed) We hope, on behalf of Gods that Wade is able to do better. ___We caught Sixpack of Gods for a comment... ___"I am kind of designing DISC. I tell Brainwasher what to code, I tell Wade how the menu-panel should look like etc. What I can tell you now is that both the panel and the code are GOOD. It's not like those dark and serious menu-panels... Nono! We prefer some light sparkling colors that will enlighten the minds of all sceners" ___It's definitely a matter of taste, but the last time I looked, these colors and type of graphics were used in Red Sectors Megademo back in 1989. No offence... ___We can only wonder... Might this be the start of a new Lord Helmet era and not to forget the start of a new DISC? Only time will tell... X by Shade (c) Insomnia'97
