Version 2.4 - 19/06/95 File Size:- 96796 bytes First Public Release -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 2.41 - 21/7/95 File Size:- 111247 bytes IMPROVEMENT - Improved the routine to find a players shirt number. BUG FIX - Fixed a major bug in the routine which decodes a player position. The bug caused the editor to corrupt the position information for Goalkeepers, when stepping through the list of players. ADDITION - Added routine to show players contract details on the Player Info screen. BUG FIX - Another error in the player position routine, which caused the editor to show left sided players as right sided players and vice versa. IMPROVEMENT - Text Edit. Text editing is no longer an awkward, separate section of the editor, instead the Player and Club info screens now have a text button on them, which enables you to edit text from there. ADDITION - Foreign and Non-League Clubs can now be accessed via two extra buttons on the 'Choose Division' screen. Lists of the teams are given, and pressing the button allows the names to be changed. IMPROVEMENT - The routine which loads in the various data from the main Championship Manager binary has been re-written in order to facilitate easier updating of the editor to future versions of Championship Manager. ADDITION - The editor is now compatible with Championship Manager Italia 95, and support was also added for 2 slightly different versions of EOS and another version of Italia. BUG FIX - Fixed a very small yet major bug it the editor when editing Italia saved games. When a non-league team was promoted, it failled to show up on the league list. This bug is now fixed!! IMPROVEMENT - The editors transfer system has been improved. Now, when a player is transfered, if he was picked for his old team, another player from the his old teams' squad is picked to take his place. Hopefully this will cure the bug which made him play for two clubs at once. ADDITION - Shirt Swap routine. On the Club Info Screen, pressing the right mouse button on a player, allows you to swap the player's shirt around with another player. This is a bit of a novelty though, as computer managers tend to repick a side after one turn..! ADDITION - Online Help. All important pages now have an online help button which displays a small information screen about how the particular page contains and how it works. IMPROVEMENT - About. There is now only one About page. In the Lite version, it contains a load of info on how to register, and on a registered version of the game, it displays the relevant information about the user who the version is register to. IMPROVEMENT - Mouse Routine. If you now hold the mouse button down for more than 3 seconds, it starts to repeat rapidly. ADDITION CmEd now detects multiply Save Games, and lets you choose which one you want to edit. It then loads the correct Player History file for the selected Save Game. ADDITION Added Player Contract Editing to second player info screen this is currently very simple and will be improved in a future version. ADDITION Added `Exact Match' button to player searching screen, to alow user to chose whether to search for an exact match of the entered surname, or simply the nearest one in the game at present. IMPROVEMENT Improved all file handling. File handling is now much more secure, and shouldn`t crash the program ever. CmEd now shows all the teams on one page instead of you having to select a divison then a team. IMPROVEMENT Changed the spinning line, shown when grabbing info from the main binary into a spinning football. IMPROVEMENT Improved way squads are listed. Players are now shown alphabetically, like in Championship Manager. Wrote new routines to speedup listing of player info, and facilitate the alphabetic listing. IMPROVEMENT Improved transfer routine, so players are removed/added to correct penalty taker lists when transfered. Also has a general tidy up of the whole routine, and made it a bit faster. IMPROVEMENT Improved Contract routine, now correctly displays contract details, used to display 'Exp 0/0' instead of 'Free Agent' IMPROVEMENT Improved way CmEd finds a players firstname and surname, this should aid compatibility with other versions of Championship Manager. IMPROVEMENT Improved way editor handles internal strings, now removes unwanted characters quicker and more efficiently. IMPROVEMENT Improved the Player Search Routine, making it both faster and smaller. BUG FIX 'Cancel Transfer' had a bug - fixed it BUG FIX Found a Major bug in the transfering of foreign players to English/Italian. Installed temporary fix by disabling foreign transfers for now, will be fixed in future version. BUG FIX Program now removes leading spacees from filenames, as they had caused file handling problems previously. BUG FIX Updated the player import and export routines, to include and the new player data we have discovered. BUG FIX Fixed error in memory allocatation routine for machines with only Chip Ram. BUG FIX CmEd displayed the wrong value for a Players Aggression.
