1. Public beta tests of MorphOS-Betatests have begun

For MorphOS, the operating system under development for PowerPC Amigas, the public beta tests have begun.

On http://www.morphos.de you can download the software under giving your name and eMail address. For operation an Amiga with PowerPC card, 32 MB of RAM and AmigaOS 3.1. A fast PowerPC processor, a CyberVisionPPC or BVisionPPC graphics board with CyberGraphX 4 and 64 MB of RAM (or more) are recommended for maximum performance.

Conclusion: Will there be a new operating system released after all these years and fails of the announced projects? The release of a MorphOS beta seems to prove Ralph Schmidt's team really want it. But if it will be a competitor to the new AmigaNG operating system, which will also run on the PowerPC cards will be found out, if both are released with a final version.
