Picture 2 Sample (p2s) is a little program that make a sample from an IFF
picture.

p2s uses routines by Michael Zucchi that were distributed with E v3.1i.

A quick step through guide type thing

   o  run p2s from the cli (you can run it from workbench and it'll open
      it's own cli window)
   o  Select your IFF ILBM file that you want to convert from the file
      requester
   o  p2s will attempt to display your picture.  If it can't display the
      picture then it'll quit
   o  p2s will then ask you for a method

      1. - 2.  Method 1
      3. - 4.  Method 2
      5. - 6.  Method 3
      7. - 8.  Method 4

   o  Choose a number between 1 and 8
      1,3,5,7 go left-right top-bottom, 2,4,6,8 go top-bottom left-right

   o  p2s will go away and do it's thing.  This may take a bit of time
      because it's got a fair bit of data to manipulate (81920 bytes for a
      320x256 picture)

   o  Choose a name to call your finished sample
   o  Load the program into your favorite sample editor/sequence/tracker and
      play away
      -   Depending on how many colours your picture contains (the actually
          number in the picture not the number on the palette) you may need
          to adjust the volume and the offset of the sample.  (MegaLoSound,
          OctaMed 6 and OctaMed SoundStudio can both adjust the offset).

p2s requires enough memory to create the sample (usually width*height, which
are both displayed).  If there isn't enough memory then p2s will quit.

p2s also requires the reqtools.library which is © Nico François, and will
not load without it.

p2s also tends to fragment memory like it's going out of fashion (oops...)

ps, if you use this program on a commercial project (c'mon someone's got be
using an amiga to make commercial music with...) then how about giving me
