Alive Mediasoft officially announced, that Descent 2 and Elite 3 will be released for the Amiga. The port of Descent 2 is nearly ready and they are still working on Elite 3.

The 500 pre-orders, which are necessary for a port of Simon the Sorcerer 2, have nearly been reached. On the homepage of Epic marketing some screenshots have been published.

clickBOOM completed the alpha version of Nightlong. Now the game enters the test phase. You can apply for beta-testing, but you have to have a pre-order for becoming a beta-tester. clickBOOM is going to optimze the source and some problems have to be solved (e.g. it seems, that 3 CD-ROMs are not enough for the game).

Ali Baba is a new action adventure from the newcomers of Medici. On their homepage http://www.medici.org.uk/ you can download various things about the game, including a demo version.

This month a playable demo version of Foundation - The Directors Cut has been published. An extended review was included in the last edition of AMIGA aktuell International.

Approximately three years ago Phantasmaorgia for the Amiga was announced. Since then there was not much spoken about the successful PC game. Alive Mediasoft confirmed Amiga Flame, that they will release Phantasmaorgia.

Stuart walker of Digital Images announced, that the company is looking for a C++ programmer, who is experienced in GUI programming and AI. In addition Start confirmded, that Digital Images is moving to Los Angeles (California, USA). So the programmer would work there. Well, who of you would like to move to sunny California? Demo version release 1.0 of the Command&Conquer clone HomeLand has been released. The complete game will be released soon and will be published by Alive Mediasoft.

The new beta version of Quake 1.09 now supports AGA, CyberGraphX, the chunkyppc.library (Screen, Public Screen, WB-window, double-/triple buffering, P96-PiP), keyboard, mouse, joystick as well as TCP/IP and sound (using audio.device). In addition it is possible to play audio CDs. The new quake revision can be downloaded e.g. from the Aminet.

Those of you who are interested in working in the Elite 3 or Phantasmaorgia team as a programmer can contact Alive Mediasoft <steve@alive-mediasoft.co.uk> But they are only looking for programmers for temporary help.

Two updates have been released for Tales of Tamar, this month. On http://www.tamar.net they can be downloaded. Tales of Tamar is a multi platform and multi player game using the Internet.

The Pokemon madness seems to come to the Amiga, too: Crystal Software got the rights for porting the Pokemon Nintendo 64 version. According to Crystal Software the game will be ported to PC, Linux and also to AmigaOS. The Amiga-version will be on the same CD-ROM as the PC-version and can be purchased in most shops. The fre game magazine of Alive Mediasoft 'The Pulse' offers a section with letters to the editor, now. In this section they want to collect the opinions of readers in the future. Darkage Software released a playable demo version of PowerBall. PowerBall is a simple puzzle game in the style of Megaball. The demo version can be downloaded from the Aminet.

Ben Hermanns from Hyperion Software announced in an interview of Amiga Active, that Hyperion Software will port the game 'Sin', which is based on Heretic 2 and Quake 2 engine, to the Amiga. Further details are unknown, yet.

The people of PaganGames are still looking for a talented programmers for their projects.

Steffen Haeuser announced, that his port of the Heretic 2 addons 'The Heretic Fortress' is 99% complete. Screenshots of the Amiga version of Heretic Fortress 4.0 can be watched on members.tripod.com/ppcstation/.
