Hi!

You can now find a beta fix for the crash/hang/corruption problems on
ftp hstud6.cs.uit.no /pub/thor as thor21_inetfix_BETA.lha (Or go via the Thor
homepage). This file should not be uploaded to aminet, as an official and more
complete fix will be uploaded later.

Please report problems to us!  If you are using 8n1.device and still have
problems, try with serial/baudbandit/artser.device instead and see if that
helps.

To install it, just lha x thor21_inetfix_BETA.lha `GetEnv THOR/ThorPath`
and reboot to get rid of the old library.

1.355:
    Now correctly uses the domain name and not the host name in the
    HELO command to the SMTP mail server.

1.385:
    A serious bug in the handling of incomin multipart MIME messages fixed.

1.387:
    Does no longer add the MIME Contents-transfer-encoding: line to the
    database, since Thor decodes base64/quoted-printable, and the other
    encoding types are without interest.

1.390:
   The program no longer tries to continue when select() returns -1
   Fixed a bug in SafeRecv() that made it miss that a status message
   was finished, and gave a timeout. Checks that getdomainname() returns a
   text, otherwise warns about missing socket.library configuration.


--SendTCP--

1.8:
   Error message when trying to join a non-existing newsgroup fixed.
   Fixed it so that sendtcp doesn't quit when the news/mail server is down,
   it just skips the events related to the missing one.
   Better handling of local non-existing users.
   Only the first recipient is shown in the progressbar.
   Optional NNTPPORT argument.
   Improved shell output.


--GetTCP--

1.10:
   The socket for the POP server is closed when mail fetching is done instead
   of after newsfetching.  This could lead to a timeout.


--ParseUUCP--

3.74:
   The buffer given to RFC2BR.c was not continous, leading to problems
   in MIME and other long messages.
