\033n\033l\
\338 Definition of a PROSITE pattern:\0331\n\
\n\
 - The standard IUPAC one-letter codes for the amino acids are used.\n\
 - The symbol `x' is used for a position where any amino acid is accepted.\n\
 - Ambiguities are indicated by listing the acceptable amino acids for a\n\
given position, between square parentheses `[ ]'. For example: [ALT]\n\
stands for Ala or Leu or Thr. \n\
 - Ambiguities are also indicated by listing between a pair of curly\n\
brackets `{ }' the amino acids that are not accepted at a given\n\
position. For example: {AM} stands for any amino acid except Ala and\n\
    Met. \n\
 - Each element in a pattern is separated from its neighbor by a `-'. \n\
 - Repetition of an element of the pattern can be indicated by following\n\
that element with a numerical value or a numerical range between\n\
    parenthesis. Examples: x(3) corresponds to x-x-x, x(2,4) corresponds to\n\
    x-x or x-x-x or x-x-x-x. \n\
 - When a pattern is restricted to either the N- or C-terminal of a\n\
sequence, that pattern either starts with a `<' symbol or respectively\n\
    ends with a `>' symbol. \n\
 - A period ends the pattern. \
