They then drove their car off the Central Cross Island Highway but missed the water and landed safely on the grass. They then hired a 12th floor room in the Samantha Hotel, tried hanging themselves with nooses made from bedsheets tied to ceiling rods, but when they jumped pulled the ceiling down. They next tried the gas fire which made them sick and pass out, only for them to come round with pounding head aches to find the meter had run out. Next they jumped out of the 12th storey window only to crash through the tin roof of a five storey restaurant below, wrecking a lobster tank and coming to a halt on a banqueting table. They were hospitalised in Kaohsiung with fractures in a stable condition. @endnode
