DESCRIPTION

    This package contains a complete description of the Studio 16 file format. It also contains include files for assembler and C.

    The purpose of this archive is to increase development for the great Studio 16 software that came with the Sunrize AD1012 and AD516 cards.

    The package also contains tools, scripts, sources and docs.

    • COMPLETE description of the Studio 16 fileformat (KWK3) Now with SampleClip and Region desriptions!
    • Studio2AIFF now supports SampleClips (edited Studio16 files).
    • S16MakePermanent to avoid the Editor bug.
    • S16FixFile is able to fix most corrupt Studio 16 files. Can be used as a "UndoAll edits" tool as well.
    • S16DownSample for fast resampling (half size)
    • S16UpSample for fast resampling w/ interpolating (double size).
    • S16Regions2Files creates seperate files of Region definitions.
    • S16FileInfo improved, now (opt.) list SampleClips and Regions.
    • Several minor tools added to handle Studio16 files.
    • Replaced 'SplitCDDA' and 'SplitCDDAI' with 'CDDA2Studio'.
    • Most tools updated so they can be used from scripts (WARN).
    • Several script for batching multiple files at once (with pattern matching).
    • Demo sources updated.

    • Name on package changed from 'Studio16frm' to 'Studio16add' - I'm sorry for the mess this may have caused! The two packages are not comparable so therefor the short time between the two announces. Besides, the Studio16frm.lha never made it to Aminet.
    Tools included:
      AIFF2STUDIO - convert AIFF mono/stereo file to S16 file
      CDDA2Studio - Split CDDA file in two Studio 16 files
      JoinAIFF - joins two mono AIFF files to one stereo AIFF
      RAW2STUDIO - convert raw 8/16bit intel/mot. file to S16
      S16DownSample - Half a sample in size (frequency is adjusted)
      S16Fileinfo - show some vital info about a S16 file
      S16FixFile - try to fix a corrupt Studio 16 file
      S16InitFilter - inits Studio 16 files with filter value 1
      S16IsPermanent - check if a Studio file contains edits
      S16IsStudio - check if file is a Studio 16 file (script)
      S16ListRegions - Dumps the regions defined in a Studio 16 file
      S16MakePermanent - converts all edits to a permanent file
      S16ReadFreq - dumps frequency of a S16 file
      S16ReadPan - dumps pan setting of a S16 file
      S16ReadSMPTE - dumps SMPTE position of a S16 file
      S16ReadVolume - dumps volume setting of a S16 file
      S16Regions2Files - Saves Regions in a file as seperate files
      S16SetFreq - modifies the frequency of a S16 file
      S16SetPan - modifies the pan setting of a S16 file
      S16SetSMPTE - modifies the SMPTE position of a S16 file
      S16SetVolume - modifies the volume setting of a S16 file
      S16UpSample - doubles a sample in size (with interpolating)
      SplitAIFF - splits a stereo AIFF into two mono AIFF files
      Studio2AIFF - convert a Studio 16 file to AIFF format
