@{b}                         @{fg shine}@{u}ShareWare registration@{uu}@{fg text}@{ub}

@{b}If you use AmiComSys regularly and like it you have to register.@{ub}

If you register you will get a personalized keyfile, which will
enable all features. That keyfile may not be made available to another
part.

The unregistered AmiComSys has this disadvantages:

* All @{"security options" link "securitysettings"} is disabled, e.g messages,
SendFile and PChat can not be turned off.

* @{"Send confirmation" link "settings"} is always enabled.

* A @{"NotifyArexx.amicomsys" link "notifyarexx"} script can not be used.

* A @{"MessageArexx.amicomsys" link "messagearexx"} script can not be used.

* The Busy and Invisible options of the status-button is disabled.

* Message requester cannot be closed automatically after a send.

By registering you support the shareware concept and will help me to
improve AmiComSys, and in further development on Amiga, the computer
we all like so much ...

The registration fee is currently:
For an uuencoded or MIMEd emailed keyfile:
@{b}120 SEK OR 16 US$@{ub}

Send the fee in bills with a letter telling me that you want to be a
registered user of AmiComSys. No other currencies than US Dollar or
Swedish Crowns (SEK) are accepted. @{b}Don't forget to include your name,
address and emailaddress. And don't forget to send me the AmiComSys.key1
you have created with the AmiComSysRegister program as below.

If you register for someone other than
yourself you most also include his/her name, address and
emailaddress.@{ub}

@{b}Other options to send the fee:@{ub}

*International Money Order with the amount of 120 SEK or more ;)

*Bank-transfer (people not living in Sweden):
Then you must first contact me by email, or directly in
AmiComSys for current conditions. This is probably the most expensive option,
cause you must add 30 SEK to the registration fee (total amount of 150 SEK)
and probably you have to pay a high fee to your bank too.
Please transfer the fee (150 SEK) to my bank account 5392-00-39742 in the bank
"Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB)" of Sweden, Håkan Parting.

*Bank-transfer (people living in Sweden):
(in Swedish:)
Mitt Postgiro är 421 38 50-3.
Jag har också ett konto i SE-Banken om du föredrar det. (Borde inte vara
någon insättningsavgift :) Kontonummer: 5392-00-39742
Registreringsavgiften är minst 120 kr.

@{b}Eurocheques or any other cheque are NOT accepted!@{ub} They are not cashable in Sweden!

@{b}The registration follows the following steps, step by step:@{ub}
1. Send the fee to me with your name, address, and email address by ordinary
mail.
2. Do you have a public PGP key?

@{"Yes!" link "yespgp"}    @{"No!" link "nopgp"}

@endnode

@node "yespgp" "Yes"

3. Send me the shareware fee.
4. Email me your Public PGP Key.
5. When I've received your payment I will send you the key PGP-encoded.
6. PGP-decode the file AmiComSys.key you get from me, and copy it to your
AmiComSys directory.
7. It is now ready to use.

@endnode

@node "nopgp" "No"

3. Send me the shareware fee.
4. Run the AmiComSysRegister program in the AmiComSys/Register directory.
5. The file AmiComSys/Register/AmiComSys.key1 is then created.
6. Email AmiComSys.key1 to me either MIMEd or uuencoded.
7. When I've received your payment I will send you the key MIMEd or uuencoded.
8. When you get the response from me, copy the file AmiComSys.key2 to your
AmiComSys/Register/ directory.
9. Run the program AmiComSysMakeKey in the AmiComSys/Register directory.
10. Your keyfile is now ready to use. It is installed in the AmiComSys directory.

AmiComSys is a AMarquee client program which you use to communicate with
other people on a tcp/ip-net - e.g Internet. At the same time it make it
easier to find people's IP-addresses and homepages.

Now you can say Hi! to your friends on the net, or just see if they are
connected.

You can:
* send text messages
* send chat requests
* send WEB-requests.
* transfer files.
* have a public chat
* have a private chat.

Future updates will include more.

Please put it in your Online-script or wbstartup drawer and enjoy ...

AmiComSys requires amarquee.library v.45+ in LIBS:. Get it from
the AMarquee-package - aminet:comm/net/AMarqueeX.xx.lha

and Magic User Interface (MUI) version 3.8 or higher

and NList.mcc by Gilles Masson, available at Aminet:dev/mui/MCC_NList0_75.lha

and BetterString.mcc by Allan Odgaard. Included in the archive
(MUI/libs/BetterString.mcc).

optionally you may also use NewString.mcc by Rüdiger Sopp. (found in
the Ibrowse-archive).

or Textinput.mcc by Oliver Wagner (found at ftp://ftp.vapor.com/misc/textinput_13.xx.lzx)

Textinput.mcc is required if you are using Kickstart 2.04. You may download
it at the above address.

Note that the above only apply if your friends is using AmiComSys,
and have an Amiga. ( An IBM-PC-version of AMarquee.library would
be nice, or better a java class :-))

Features:

* Send text messages.
* Includes a client list, which shows people which have logged in.
* Send WEB- or Chat-requests.
* Uses Magic User Interface (MUI).
* A message history buffer, which saves all the received messages.
* Logging
* Arexx interface
* File transmission.
* Public chat (HotLine)
* Private chat (PChat)
* Friendsbook.
* TAB- and ':'-nickname-expansion in chat-fields.
* Every window is iconifiable separately from the MUI-application.
* Send WWW, FTP, IRC -addresses to your WEB-browser, FTP-client respective
AmIRC.
* Optional string-gadget class. Choose from Betterstring.mcc, Newstring.cc
and Textinput.mcc

Just start the Installer program!

If you don't want do that do this:
Just copy all the files to wherever you want, but please preserve the file structure.
AmiComSys.MUI is ready to be run.

If you put AmiComSys in WBStartup drawer you must set the PROGDIR ToolType to the path of your AmiComSys directory.
If you don't arexx scripts will not work. (SendWEB, SendFTP & SendIRC and the other ones
in the rexx/ directory ).

If you're using a multiuser-system that Tooltype could be set to HOME:

I recommend you to check the Time Zone settings (under the Program page-Various-tab).
The time zone should be right if you have configured Workbench Locale preferences
appropriate, but if it's Daylight Savings Time you must check the checkbox (mostly in
the summer time).

AMarquee v.45+ must be installed on your system. Can be found on
aminet:comm/net/Amarqueex.xx.lha

BetterString.mcc and NList.mcc must also be installed in your LIBS:mui/ drawer.

you have connected say will be sent to all the others which you have connected.

So if you close the window the others which you have connected will also lose the
"connection" to each other.

With this feature it is possible to talk to all your buddies at the same time.
But if the ones you have connected wants to keep talking to eachother when you
must break your connection, they must connect to each other. Do this with the
"Invite selected client" menu item.

Learn it by testing. It's not so easy for me to describe how it's working in just
text. Maybe I should draw a picture.

The username display is configurable in the @{"Chat-settings." link "windowsettings"}

NEW: Added arexx command SET STATUS. With it you may set the current
     status. (OFFline, ONLine, AWAy etc.). It's also possible to get the current
     status.

     To get a newline with the rexx commands REQUEST and REQUESTA you now
     must insert the rawkey code 13. (10 can't be used).

BUGFIX: Some icons was just squares if you were not using Newicons.
     Reported by Jeremy Friesner. Thanks!

     Several fixes to make it work with Kickstart 2.04.
     Betterstring.mcc does only work with kickstart 3.0+, therefore Textinput.mcc is
     required for Kickstart 2.0 users.
     Thanks to Fredrik Zetterlund and Jeremy Freisner for helping me to find
     these bugs!

     Forgot to close asl.library.

     SendIRC.amicomsys now always open a new copy of AmIrc.

NEW: Online, Offline, Away, Busy and Invisible status implemented. Current
     status for a client is showed in the client info requester.

     The Settings-window now have a MUI 3.0 look ...
     The arexx script "Rexx/MessageArexx.amicomsys" may now be executed automatically
     by AmiComSys when a message arrives. It could totally replace AmiComSys's
     message-requsters. You may do a rexx-script which show the message text somehow,
     or play a sound. If you just want to play a sound the checkbox "Replace ACS's requester",
     found in the Misc-settings-page, shall be unchecked.
     With the Arexx command SET MESSAGEAREXX 0/1 you can enable or disable
     this script.

     Added some keybindings to the Chat-window-textinput-fields.
     TAB-nickname-expansion and ':'-nickname-expansion.
     You may browse through the message in the list with the cursor keys. The
     text will be inserted into the textinput-fields.
     AmiComSys does not support the old String.mui-class anymore.
     The mui-costum-class BetterString.mcc is required. It's included in the archive.
     You may choose the string-class you like best. (BetterString.mcc, Newstring.mcc or Textinput.mcc)

     Private chat is now implemented. Press the PChat-button, while a client
     is selected. It's also possible to connect one chat window to several
     clients.

     Added ASK parameter to the Arexx SEND command. A confirmation requester
     will come up if specified. (Always if unregistered version).
     Added arexx commands REQUEST and REQUESTA. With it you can use AmiComSys's
     two kinds of message requesters.

     Changed layout in About-requester. Added number of connected clients.

     Added friendsbook. (windows menu).
     Idea by Rolf Bollmann. Thanks!
     Added Add button to main window. With it you add entries to the friends-
     book. You must open and close the friendsbook window for it to be saved.

     Added System-info to client info and settings.
     It's now possible to adjust the maximum width of the requesters. (windows-
     settings-Message requester tab-Max horiz chars).
     Added IRCServer-path to personal settings and client info. You may
     advertise your IRC-server.

     Any window may now be iconified separately! Just the window, not the whole application.

     Optimized for MC68020. 68000 version available at my homepage.

BUGFIXES:
     The status-popup-menu was not working right.
     The info-textbox got an extra new line after the window was updated.

BUGFIX: Messages from amarquee.lib was not always freed, causing
Enforcer-hits.
Thanks Jeremy Friesner, USA, who reported this bug!
NEW: Users can now be banned, which means that they can not send messages to you.
NEW: NAME and COMMENT added to arguments and ToolTypes.
e.g AmiComSys "COMMENT=No comment!"
NEW: Send messages with patternmatching. e.g. #?.com, send to all .com-hosts.
NEW: Multi messages (sent with patternmatching) can be turned off. (registered)
NEW: Will try to reconnect one time every minute if connection is lost. Notice
that it will connect immediately if the main window is activated.
Useful if you put AmiComSys in WBStartUp drawer.
NEW: New tooltype and setting: Reconnect=Yes/No. Specify if you want AmiComSys
to try to reconnect when connection is lost or just quit. Useful if you
start AmiComSys from an Online-script.
NEW: New layout in settings window.
NEW: MUI-version.
BUGFIX: Settings were not read correctly.
BUGFIX: There was a little trouble to find the arexx-script.
NEW: New AMarquee/AmiComSys-server hosted by Thomas Steinbichler at amicomsys.tibb.at.
NEW: Email-settings, both as a TOOLTYPE and in general settings. Your email will
not be showed for others, but will have a usage in a later version.

BUGFIX: When starting a new copy of AmiComSys when another already is running
an "error:" was showed.
BUGFIX: It was very instable when connected to Internet. It worked good when
connected to localhost. Strange :-( Hope it's better now.
BUGFIX: Rewrote the hide, show and iconify handling.
BUGFIX: Some memory leakage is fixed, but there is still some left, but it seems
to be in amarquee.library :-(
NEW: AmiComSys's window now appear directly. The wait for connect is no longer
there thanks to amarquee.library v.41.
NEW: Messages has now a limit of 900 characters.
NEW: Wordcutting feature implemented, which means that a the messages will be
divided into several lines if it exceeds the req_maxchars parameter.
NEW: Message access setting implemented. Give an ordinal Amiga wildcard in
Config/MessAccess describing the authorized hosts which are allowed to send
you a message. Default is #?, which means that anybody may send you a message.
(e.g #?.se, means that only Swedish host may send you messages.) (registered).
BUGFIX: AMarquee Client TCP Handler must use a higher task priority than AmiComSys.
If you use Executive you must set AMarquee Client TCP Handler to TASK-NOSCHEDULE-ABOVE.
If not AmiComSys will get a Server error, when its window is activated, and AmiComSys
will quit. This is fixed in amarquee.library V42.
NEW: Messaging may be turned off. (registered).
NEW: The web-address sent in a WEB-message can be sent to your WEB-browser:
Ibrowse, Voyager, AWeb and Amosaic is supported. ARexx must be running and 'rx' must be
in the current path. Insert "Path <path to rx command> ADD" if it is not. 'rx'
should be in the SYS:rexxc directory.
