This programme requires MAXs BBS v1.52 or greater. [It may work on lower
versions, I really wouldn't know].

Should work on 68000+ processors. [I have tried it on a 68000 and a 68030
with no troubles].

It _should_ work on Workbench 1.3 machines but I have only tested it on 2.x
and 3.x but since DFB requires WB2.x+ you will need this.

Also requires basic intelligence to operate.

Simply put, this programme will go through the specified text file, find
all the %C auto inserts for Total Files and replace them with the correct
number of total files found in your dfb.data file and resave it.

Nothing much to it really.

Just 'TotalFiles <Source> <Destination>'

Where Source is your text file template which holds the %C MAXs auto insert
and Destination is where you wish the modified textfile to be written
[Without the <>'s of course ;)].

And if you get _REALLY_ stuck, a 'TotalFiles101 ?' will give you the command
options :).

I would recommend that you run this shell programme through the 'Execute on
Logoff' option [Pull down menu of Configure/System on MAXs] to update all the 
textfiles whenever someone logs off. I have it updating the BBS.text and the 
Intro.text.

MSD [MAXs Security Door] - Version 1.1

One of the best [if I may say so myself] security doors you can get for
MAXs. Also highly configurable with such options as password, texts to be
displayed, user allowed and a logfile for incorrect password attempts. All
definable by the SysOp of course!

Remove Dead - Version 1.0

Small DOS programme [~1.2k] for removing for deleting user files that KFB
and KWALL use, when the user no longer has an account on your BBS.
Paramater driven.


DFB UserStas - Version 1.0ß

Lets a user list _ALL_ of their user information [eg. Uploads/Downloads
etc] on BBS's using DFB [Dynamic File Base] which also allows the use of
MAXs auto inserts.


New Name - Version 1.0

Ever have users asking to have their name changed on your BBS and then asking
you whether they will still be able to read their old Private mail or replies
to messages they wrote with their old name ? Then this small Shell/CLI
programme is for you. It will go through your message.data and change all
messages addressed to and from the old user name to the new user name.

The best way to run it from the 'Execute on logoff' option is to create a
script file say;

and don't forget to put the execute command in front of the name of your
script! as the script may not work ;)

I would like to dedicate this programme to Bonza our South Australian
Cydonia HQ SysOp since he is closing down his BBS due to many facts.
[Namely he can't afford it and it is taking up to much of his time!]. Good

Initial release.

Version 1.01 Released 2-Jul-1997

Fixed enforcer hit which I didn't find out about until about a month after 
V1.0 was released.
Added error reporting messages.
Finally got the time and off my butt to do this version! :) Took stuff all
time to do as well, <whew> and enforcer didn't pick up any hits.
