*************************************************************************** ESC<>CSI - by Olly Koenders : 31-12-97 This is a small ansi/Max's BBS util to convert the longer "ESC+[" ansi codes to "CSI" codes and vice versa. This reduces the ansi filesize by 1 byte per ansi code and in some ansi's can result in a saving of several hundred bytes that don't need to be pushed downline. In fact, at Amiga Resource Group BBS (+61-3-9870-4608) I ran it over all our menu and text ansi's, so now there's 14000 bytes of extra data we don't have to shove downline! The "CSI" codes work fine with Max's BBS 1.54 or /X\ax's pro2 but most ansi editors don't want to know about it, that's why I incorporated reverse conversion. IBM (Idiot Breed Mentality) users downline don't have any problems with it either! Usage is really simple: "ESC<>CSI [Filename]". *The original file will be overwritten with the new!* For Dopus use I recommend that you set the following flags: "Do all files" "No filename quote" And make sure you remove the space after the {f}.. That's it. Run it over the same file twice and the "CSI"codes are converted back again to the original "ESC+[" codes. Freeware! Enjoy :) Olly. (Catch me on the excellent FluffyNet: "Olly Koenders")..
