v6.51.x WOF SysOps Read This!

    If you're presently using v6.51, or one of it's update versions "a" thru
"d", you can do the update to 6.52 manually by simply copying the NEWER ARexx 
Command Files from this archive in place of the one's you are currently using. 
You DO NOT have to reset the game, nor will you have to replace any of the
files located in the "Texts/" directory other than the "WOF_News" file, which
has the updated version number in it's ANSI screen.

    Make sure to also copy over the contents of the Guides/ subdirectory, the
SysOpReg and UserReg files in the Incentive/ subdirectory, in addition to
those files located in the main WoFortune/ directory.

v6.50 WOF SysOps Read This!

    If you're presently using v6.50 of The Wheel of Fortune, you can do the
update to 6.51 manually by simply copying the NEWER ARexx Command Files from
this archive in place of the one's you are currently using. You DO NOT have
to reset the game, or delete any of the files located in the Texts/ directory
as the only changes made were INTERNAL to the command files themselves...

    Make sure to remember the HISTORY file in the Guides/ subdirectory, the
SysOpReg and UserReg files in the Incentive/ subdirectory, in addition to
those files located in the main WoFortune/ directory.

Pre6.50 WOF SysOps Read This!

    I'd like to congratulate you on downloading one of the Premiere Online
Games written SPECIFICALLY for CNet Amiga, v3.05c and v4.38+ and beyond!

    To install for the first time, or to update a WOF, v6.46, or v6.46a,
follow these steps to the letter!   :-)

1. As you're reading this file presently, you've already unpacked the initial
   "cnet_wof.lha" archive. Make sure the "wof.lha" and "InstallWOF" files are
   located in a directory on HARD DISK that contains at least 300K free bytes!

   NOTE: Do NOT copy these files into RAM:. It is ok to copy them to a RAD:
         if you use one of those, however the installation script will NOT
         work correctly if they are sitting in your assigned RAM: disk area.

2. The "InstallWOF" script is a CNet ARexx File. It is NOT a C= Installer
   Script, nor is it a "straight" ARexx file. To run the file, you will need
   to log on to your bbs, then either add the file as an ARexx Door, or else
   use one of those RUNA commands to launch it. (I've included a copy of MY
   RUNA command in case you don't have one of your own).

   NOTE: Do NOT attempt to launch this file using RX or RUNRX. Furthermore,
         do NOT attempt to launch this file in conjunction with Install or
         Installer by Commodore. I am no longer using the installer program
         for use with Wheel of Fortune.

3. This archive contains ONLY the Public Domain version of the game, and does
   NOT contain ANY of the Registered files, including the Head-2-Head Game,
   the expanded PuzData file, or any of the utilities. Registered WOF SysOps
   will need to contact Frontiers BBS directly to obtain these files or else
   make other arrangements with me personally. When running this version after
   updating, Registered SysOps will notice it runs as if the game were NOT
   registered. This is a NORMAL behavior, and will be corrected once you've
   obtained the updated registered files.

   Provided you follow the above steps exactly, you should not be given any
adverse effects, however if you DO notice something odd, or have comments or
criticisms on this work, please do not hesitate to send them my way.

   Lastly, this version has received MANY changes and enhancements, so be
SURE to also read through the 6.52 section of the included "HISTORY.GUIDE"
file, before attempting to use this version for the first time!
