@node NODE_Installation "Installation"

 I will assume that You've already installed required programs as it says in their manuals , so all You have to do is to copy graphics from this archive to the corresponding directory while preserving the directory structure. And then should also copy program's MUI setttings to ENV and ENVARC. Everything will be explained more thoroughly in the following chapters. @{LINE}

 You can preview what will the program look like after the face-lift by clicking on the @{" P " Link "NODE_None"} button next to it.

@node NODE_VP "Visual Prefs"

   This preferences are for Visual Prefs 1.5 or higher. Copy the directory Liquid
where ever you want , start GUI of VisualPrefs , open Liquid/Liquid.pre , and
under System/Bitmaps choose Liquid. Then save the prefs.

   @{b}NOTE: @{ub}The gadgets may look weird in GUI prefs and
the first time when you save the prefs. That's
because most gadgets are drawn to use ONLY with
Birdie and included textures. However, when you
see how it looks you won't regret it.

   @{b}NOTE 2: @{ub}This Liquid set is based on VP-Aqua set by
Martin Bren. I emailed him and asked him for
a promission to upload this changed set ,
but as he did not answer me for some time
I assume that it's OK to upload this to Aminet
as long as I mention that my VP set is based on
Mr. Bren's.

@endnode
@node NODE_BIRDIE "Birdie"

   Open Birdie prefs ( bprefs.lha , on Aminet) , load my @{i}Birdie.prefs @{ui}settings , for Active
window pattern choose ActiveWindow.jpg and in the pattern list choose InactiveWindow.jpg.
Do @{b}NOT @{ub}add any more patterns to the pattern list because this set is designed for
only one pattern.

@endnode
@node NODE_MM "Magic Menu"

   This prefs files are for MagicMenu 2.35 (www.magicmenu.de).
First is MacOS 8 like prefs which has no texture or transparent
settings so I recommend it if you have a slower machine or for
256 colour screens. Second is true MacOS X setting with a genuine
menu texture and transparency set to on. However it requires a
fast gfx card ( Cybervision PPC or Voodoo 3 ) and minimum 040 to
be usable. So load this prefs file , and for backfill image
choose MenuBack.iff.

   @{b}NOTE: @{ub}Mac menus are about 20% transparent while MMenu's are
about 50%. That means you have to fiddle with selected
background colour if you have too dark desktop picture , but
generally it should be fine.

   @{b}NOTE 2: @{ub}If you have too many icons on desktop or use a MUI program which uses a lot
of pens , Magic Menu will fall back to ugly 4 color scheme ( even on high/true color screen ! ).
To avoid this, set the color matching precision in MM Prefs to Icon or even GUI and things should be fine.

@endnode
@node NODE_TITLESHADOW "Title Shadow"

   Start TitleShadowPrefs and load my @{i}titleshadow.prefs.@{ui} Here
I've lightened up the colour of the unselected window title
so now there is a greater contrast beween selected and
unselected window.

@endnode
@node NODE_MUI "MUI"

   Copy the included patterns in MUI:Patterns and the @{i}MacOSX.prefs @{ui} file in MUI:Presets ,
so you will be able to change quickly your MUI programs to look more-less like their MacOS equivalents.
However because of the using of textures , the things may slown down a bit so I suggest using of the
muimaster.library patch from Aminet which will speed up refreshing of MUI windows.

@endnode
@node NODE_DOPUS5 "DOpus 5"

   For DOpus 5 I included a 32 color OS 3.5 Lister icon which you should copy to DOpus5:Icons .
Also copy the included textures to DOpus5:Pictures . You could use MenuBackGradient.png or Gray.jpg
as a requester background in DOpus and Blue.jpg as a window background.

   @{b}NOTE: @{ub} The icon I included represents a lowres image of my DOpus lister. I did a snap of
desktop, loaded it into PPaint , cropped the image , did some make-up and loaded a brush into IconEdit.
It was a 5 minute work. You should do the same to make your icon because it's no hassle and it looks very very effective!

@endnode
@node NODE_WORKBENCH "Workbench"

   You should copy included def_disk.info ( OS 3.5 , 32 colors ) icon in ENVARC:SYS. I made it out of snapshot
of Mac desktop from Internet. It looks way better than any other disk icon I have seen but it eats free pens
like crazy so beware.

   @{b}NOTE: @{ub} For my backdrop picture I use original MacOS Aqua backdrop. Of course , I couldn't include it because of the copyright, but you can download it from:
@{JCENTER}

 @{bg shine}http://macaddict.virtualslave.net/articles/macosxdesktoppics/image/aqua-blue.jpg @{bg back} @{LINE}

 where you can find many more cool desktop backgrounds.

@endnode
@node NODE_AMIGAAMP "Amiga AMP"

   This Aqua skin was a mix of two existing Winamp Aqua skins which I found on net. I changed some details,
added AmigaAMP and Boing logo and converted all images to iff for faster loading. An animation would look
nice , but I didn't have any idea what to draw so feel free to add your own stuff (and send me a copy :).

@endnode
@node NODE_LSDBASE "lsdBase"

   lsdBase is my favourite CDID database program. It is very fast, small ( ~15k ) and it can even
play any CD from database ( assuming it is in the CD rom , of course ;). Copy the included pictures in lsdBase/Pictures,
copy its MUI prefs as ENVARC:MUI/CDBase.1.prefs , and assign lsdBase: to its dir.

   @{b}NOTE: @{ub} Assign is needed only temporary as for MUI prefs to find textures so you can change paths
of textures to absolute ones . This will apply to all MUI based programs.

@endnode
@node NODE_MCDP "MCDPlayer"

   This skins require MCDP 2.0 or higher. Copy them to MCDP directory and change the @{b}PANEL @{ub}tooltype in MCDP's icon
to MacOSX or MacOSX2. I wanted to make the pushed button set, but on my config (A2000/060/CV3D/OS3.5/CGX3) I see
only crap when I press any of the buttons. It must be MCDP's fault because it is the same even with 8 MWB colour sets. Too bad...

@endnode
@node NODE_AMFTP "AmFTP"

   Copy the images dir to AmFTP:Images (this means the assign is temporary required) and the MUI settings to
ENVARC:MUI/AMFTP.1.prefs and ENV:MUI/AMFTP.1.prefs. Then start AmFTP/MUI prefs , change texture paths to absolute
and save the prefs. That's it !

@endnode
@node NODE_CHARON "Charon"

   Copy the images to Charon:Images and MUI settings to ENVARC:MUI/CHARON.1.prefs.

   @{b}NOTE: @{ub} I edited old Charon GUI images to get along with a new OSX settings , so you may
want to backup your old images dir before proceeding with installation.

@endnode
@node NODE_IBROWSE "IBrowse"

   This imageset preferes IBrowse 2 or higher (IB 1.x might work). Copy the images to IBrowse:Images and
the selected MUI prefs to ENVARC:MUI/IBrowse.prefs .

   MacNetscape MUI prefs uses a texture for its windows so it's slower while refreshing (Zorro III gfx card prefered) and XP prefs are the same
but without texture (it works OK on 030). I provided also 3 fastlink images for Aminet , Google and Yahoo. Backup your IBrowse:Images dir
before proceeding with installation!

@endnode
@node NODE_MIAMI "Miami"

   For installation just copy the included MUI prefs to ENVARC:MUI/Miami.1.prefs. I included also two OS 3.5 appicon images for Miami
which you can copy where ever you want (preferably to ENVARC:SYS or MIAMI:Icons) and then select them in Miami/GUI page.

@endnode
@node NODE_NEWSCOASTER "News Coaster"

   Copy the included texture in NewsCoaster:Icons and the included MUI prefs in ENVARC:MUI/NewsCoaster.prefs.

   @{b}NOTE: @{ub} There is a bug in the last few releases of NewsCoaster( up to current v1.53) ! When you select MUI prefs from News Coaster menu , you only get
basic MUI prefs to alter (ie. no NListView custom classes). To make your News Coaster look like you want , you will have to open MUI prefs , @{b}but from MUI: dir @{ub} , load your News Coaster prefs from
ENV: or ENVARC: , alter them and then save them back to ENV: or ENVARC: . I hope that this will be fixed in the next release of NC .

@endnode
@node NODE_STRICQ "STRICQ"

   Copy the included texture in STRICQ:Images and the included MUI prefs in ENVARC:MUI/STRICQ.1.prefs. I haven't tested STRICQ but I hope I've got the colors right...

@endnode
@node NODE_YAM "YAM"

   Copy the included textures to YAM:Icons and the MUI prefs to ENVARC:MUI/YAM.prefs. This set looks perfect with YAM 2.3. But with YAM 2.4 developer , the icons are not fully expressed so you may
have to use a lighter texture or use a different iconset.

@endnode
@node NODE_APDF "APDF"

   Copy the prefered MUI setting as ENVARC:MUI/APDF.1.prefs. OSX setting includes a background texture while the old Acrobat3 settings feature more elegant dark gray background .
