English ======= ======= What is ProfiPacket? ==================== ProfiPacket is a terminal program for Packet Radio on HAM and CB radio. Using MUI ProfiPacket is flexible concerning the design of the user interface. The features of ProfiPacket: - Uses MagicUserInterface (MUI) - programmed system conform - even no hardware access in sound effects - supports ANSI color and style codes - Supports up to 8!!! hostmode TNC - Supports use of different calls with one TNC - Extensively configurable - User database with many settings different for each user - Internal mailbox and gateway functions - Huffman text compression (SP compatible) - Works with PC font ( no problems with vowel mutations, text graphics) - Converts PC font to Amiga font and vice versa - TNC link parameters are adjustable for every user - Special user directory in privileged mode - Supports "news" file with automatic message if "new news" are available - Converse mode - Supports origin file Copyright ========= ProfiPacket is freely distributable under following conditions: - ProfiPacket is DIDDLWARE. Anybody who wants to use ProfiPacket regulary has to send me a Diddl postcard. If these postcards are not available in your home country you have two choices: (1) emmigrate immediately! ( recommended :-) ) (2) send me another postcard The adress you'll find here If somebody has only older Diddl postcards : EVEN BETTER ! - Nobody is allowed to make any profit of distributing ProfiPacket. You are only allowed to demand costs for media and copying. These costs may not exceed the amout of 5 DM in your currency. If ProfiPacket is distributed in PD collections, the share of ProfiPacket may not exceed 5 DM in your currency. Additionally the total price of a disk may not exceed 10 DM, the total price of a CD-ROM may net exceed 30 DM in your currency. Distribution on Aminet CD-ROMs or similar collactions is OK. - You may only distribute ProfiPacket in its original form. This means, if you want to spread ProfiPacket, you must spead the original LHA archive. Changing the programme or this guide is strictly forbidden!!! - ProfiPacket must not used on computers which are used for development or production of weapons directly or indirectly. Jeder, der ProfiPacket regelmäßig benutzt ist dazu verpflichtet, mir eine Diddl-Postkarte zukommen zu lassen. Falls in dem jeweiligen Heimatgebiet keine solchen Karten verfügbar sind hat der Benutzer zwei Möglichkeiten. (1) sofort umziehen !!! ( mein Vorschlag :-) ) (2) mir eine andere Postkarte zukommen lassen Die Adresse gibt es hier. Falls jemand nur ältere Postkarten von der Springmaus zur Verfügung hat : UM SO BESSER !!! - Niemand darf durch das Weitergeben von ProfiPacket Profit machen. Sie dürfen nur die Kosten für Diskette / Kopierkosten verlangen. Diese Kosten dürfen jedoch den Betrag von 5 DM in ihrer Währung nicht über- schreiten. Wird ProfiPacket auf einer PD-Serie verbreitet, dann darf der Anteil von ProfiPacket an dem Gesamtpreis der Diskette / CD-ROM 5 DM in ihrer Währung nicht überschreiten. Außerdem darf der Gesamt- preis einer Diskette 10 DM , der Gesamtpreis einer CD-ROM 30 DM nicht überschreiten. Die Verbreitung auf den Aminet CD-ROMs ist ausrücklich erlaubt. - Es darf nur das ursprüngliche Archiv von ProfiPacket weitergegeben werden. Wenn Sie ProfiPacket weitergeben wollen, dann müssen Sie es als das von mir verpackte LHA-Archiv weitergeben. Es ist verboten, das Programm oder die Dokumentation zu verändern!!! - ProfiPacket darf nicht auf Computern benutzt werden, die direkt oder indirekt für die Produktion oder Entwicklung von Waffen benutzt werden. Personen, die in die Entwicklung, Produktion oder den Handel mit Waffen verwickelt sind dürfen ProfiPacket nicht benutzen. - ProfiPacket darf für den persönlichen Gebrauch verändert werden, jedoch darf die veränderte Version nicht an andere weitergegeben werden.
