FiDED is back!

This   is   yet  another  FileID-extractor  for  FILE_ID.diz  as  found  in
AmiNet-files,  BBS-systems,  etc.   What  makes  it  different  from  other
FileID-extractors is :

- Huge graphical user interface (useable w/o GUI as well)
- Extracts faster than other programs
- Multidirectory support
- No external programs (except LHa,Unzip,Lzx,cfx) required

Supported  filetypes  are  :   Exe,  Dms, Txt, Lha/Lzh, Lzx, Zip, all other
files are examined via cfx (Crunched File Examiner by Bob Rye), if present.

This  is  Version  39.329  (sixth release), FiDED is now useable from Shell
without  GUI,  many  new Commandline option, better Dirfile-layout, support
for cfx has been added - see list below.

V39.249 (15.07.1997)	Forth public release to AmiNet

	· Textfiles were not close()d. Fixed.
	· Support for Tooltypes and new Commandline arguments
	· Workdirectory may be set upon startup
	· New built-in line separators and support for 
	  custom separators
	· Abort gadgets added
	· Number of files without description will be
	  displayed after finished extraction
	· FiDED is now compiled for use with 68020+
	  processors. It might also work with 68000
	  processors, who knows?
	· Improved the old dull logo a bit

V39.274 (31.07.1997)	Fifth public release to the AmiNet

	· Last release archive was incorrectly named
	  FiDED38249 instead of FiDED39249, sorry for that.
	· Better Abort gadget handling
	· DMS-files without description were printed without
	  "No description available\n" string. Fixed
	· Enforcer hit during startup from Shell w/o
	  arguments removed (Illegal read)
	· Enforcer hits during 'Scan' removed (Illegal read)
	· New Tooltype/Shell-option USDATE turns on
	  between American date output in dirfiles.

V39.329 (25.08.1997)	Sixth public release to AmiNet, major update,
			many new options

	· Recompiled with SAS 6.57
	· Better support for ZIP-files
	· Sorting by size added
	· All options may be set from Shell/Workbench
	· FiDED may be used without GUI (but including all 
	  options), so it's may replace all Shell-based single
	  file extractors as SnatchDiz and the like
	· Improved outputstyle of files with long filenames
	· Support for cfx and better output
	  for filetypes not recognised
	· Statusgadget output was wrong after click on
	  SoryBy-gadget. Fixed.
