The demo has a number of features disabled compared to the full version. IMPORTANT --------- If you want to try the demo before installing it, make sure you double- click the "MakeAssign" icon. If you fail to run this, page headers in the demo will be shown in ugly blocky characters. By default the demo uses the 'times' and 'courier' fonts in sizes that didn't came with your WorkBench. INTRODUCTION ------------ AWeb-II is a fast and powerful World Wide Web browser for the Amiga computer. See the Docs/intro.html document for a list of features. REQUIREMENTS ------------ AWeb needs: o OS 3.0 or better. o At least 2MB of memory as an absolute minimum. 3 MB or more is highly recommended. o Either AmiTCP/IP, I-Net225 or AS-225 if you want to access the Internet, or a TCP stack that is compatible with one of these. Examples of compatible products are Miami and TermiteTCP. o Appropriate picture datatypes (GIF, JPEG) to show inlined images. o The ClassAct GUI kit (included in the full distribution, not in this demo). The ClassAct GUI kit is freely available from Aminet, and via ftp from: ftp://ftp.warped.com/pub/amiga/classact/ THIS DEMO VERSION ----------------- This demo version shows pages exactly like the full version does, but many additional features are disabled in this demo. Most important missing features are: - the demo doesn't use multiple windows. Note that when a page has a link to another document in a new window, this demo version will not open a new window. The full version will. - the demo doesn't read or save your hotlist. See the Docs/full.html document for a complete list of differences.
