Several participants added comments to their answers to the question of opinion:
Andreas Wolf states: »Fortunately my expectation, that AMIGA Inc. would not present or announce anything significant, did not come true. At last they have taken the only reasonable step and will port AmigaOS to PPC. But ya have to think, that this could have been done long ago, if a certain Mr. McEwen hadn't interceded.«
Kai Stegemann is in favour of answer #2 and adds: »They seriously got a few hearts a'thumping ahead of time. Maybe Sharp can help, but how long will they keep the faith?«
Volker Grabbe has a very positive view of the announcement: »The decision of AMIGA Inc. really is a pleasant surprise. I can understand it, finally that shareware bungling is over. At last there is a basic standard!!!!! Anybody can do what the generational act he wants with his things. And this they did! I just luuuuuv the decision. At last a clear statement.«
Stellan Pistoor writes: »If AMIGA Inc. hadn't hinted broadly in advance that they would slip a sensation out from under the sofa, I would have selected #2. Because that did not happen, I vote for #3. Sensation not.«
Net result:
A clear outcome: The expectations of most of the contributors were fulfilled only partly or not at all. Those really enthusiastic about the show and its announcements seem to be only a few.
