MOVIEGUIDE PRO V2.0f UPDATE - 16/11-1995 ======================================== The following bugs from V2.0e were fixed for this update: - If you closed a PORTRAIT picture and had a title-window open, and no picture was available for that title, the SCENE menu and button would be enabled. - Now ICONIFY works, if you run MG on the Workbench! - The size of the progress-indicator should now be correct under all resolutions. - If you used the USE WORKBENCH palette option, and a picture was shown in a window, the palette would change to the MG palette! - An error in the data-filehandling has been fixed - some titles could show unexpected actors/actresses (take a look at 'Star Trek: Voyager' for an example... Some Danish actors will turn up on the list!!) - The VMG rating could sometimes be wrong; if the current movie had no VMG rating, the latest rating would be shown instead of none! CHANGES ======= - Palette-handling when running MG on the Workbench has been changed, so that NO colors will be allocated by the MovieGuide program, unless you use the 'USE MOVIEGUIDE' palette-option. This CAN result in, that the graphical icons in the RELATED INFO window look odd - but your (Magic) Workbench colors will now be preserved instead! MG NEWS ======= Currently I'm developing an article-database function for MovieGuide, which can contain articles from various well-known movie-magazines like Empire, Variety, Premiere and Entertainment Weekly. I'll probably release a preview of this function soon, and if I get any positive response to it, I'll develop it further. Just one big problem: Copyright on the articles... So the preview will contain only a few shortened articles for test purpose. You'll probaly be able to add your own articles if you want - you can get'em from Internet and then include them in the MG-archive for reading purpose. / Simon Ravn
