For use with Windows NT, Use the DOS "subst" command at a command prompt to setup a virtual drive that points to the hummer directory. It should look something like this: subst X: Q:\Gifts\hummer To run the Amiga version, you will have to specify Amiga pathmames for the images that are called out for the image mapped surfaces. Frame #1 of this scene has been used as a benchmark to test LightWave rendering speed in a typical application. Just load up the scene and hit F10 to render it. Some render times from various systems are tabulated below. This scene is provided courtesy of Joe Dox. "Full Metal Hummer", created by Joe Dox of Galaxy Video & Animations. Using simple geometric formulas, realistic wheel rotation and vehicle velocity is achieved to create realism in the vehicles movement. See the February '95 issue of LightWave-PRO for a complete write-up on this scene. Contact Galaxy Video & Animations at (508) 535-8787.
