Well help is here now! Comprehensive Nodelist searching utilities. Can choose to limit the search to a certain subrange. Has a powerful LFORMAT (custom output) option. Supports multiple wildcards. Can search on phone number, location, sysop name and BBS name. @endnode @remark &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& @node INSTALL "Installation" To install simply follow the steps below (clicking on the button will automatically do the action!) 1. @{"Copy FindPhone FindPlace FindSysop FindSystem to MAIL:bin" SYSTEM "Copy FindPhone FindPlace FindSysop FindSystem TO MAIL:bin"} 2. @{"Copy FindXX.guide to MAIL:docs" SYSTEM "Copy FindXXX.guide#? TO MAIL:docs"} @endnode @remark &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& @node USAGE "Usage" Depending on what field of the nodelist you want to search on you use: FindPhone -- to search telephone numbers FindPlace -- to search on location FindSysop -- to search on sysop's name FindSystem -- to search on BBS name FindPhone accepts the following argument template: @{i}PATTERN/M/A,START/K,STOP/K,FULL/S,POINTS/S,VERBATIM/S, BUFSIZE/K/N,LFORMAT/K,NODELIST/K,STRIPDASHES/S@{ui} FindPlace, FindSysop and FindSystem accept: @{i}PATTERN/M/A,START/K,STOP/K,FULL/S,POINTS/S,VERBATIM/S, BUFSIZE/K/N,LFORMAT/K,NODELIST/K@{ui} PATTERN -- Wildcard to search the nodelist for. All standard Amiga wildcards are supported. The search is case-insensitive. At least one pattern must be given but you can supply more. START --- Node to start the search from. For example "START=2:" would start the search at zone 2, skiping zone 1. If not given the search starts at the front of the nodelist. STOP --- Node to stop the search on. If not given they the nodelist is search to the end. FULL --- Specifies the output mode. If this switch is not specified then for each node found only 1 line of information is display. However if it is specified then more data is displayed. POINTS --- If specified then points are included in the search. VARBATIM --- Entries will not be subject to conversion before searching, in particular the phone number will not be parsed. BUFSIZE --- Size of the nodelist scanning buffer (in records). Values below 32 will use the default buffer size. LFORMAT --- The most powerful option. This allows you to use a custom output format. It is similar to the LFORMAT option of List. The argument is a string which can contain the following formatting codes: %% -- % %n -- newline %t -- tab %r -- return %v -- vertical tab %q -- " %a -- BEL (alert/beep charcater) %b -- backspace character %S -- system name %A -- system address (short for "%z:%e/%N.%p") %l -- system location %s -- sysop's name %T -- type of system %P -- phone number %B -- baudrate %c -- accounting information %f -- nodelist flags %w -- password %z -- zone number %e -- net number %N -- node number %p -- point number %R -- region %h -- hub If this option is not given then "%A %S, %l, %s, %P" is used unless the FULL option is specified, then "Node %A, %q%S%q is in %l%nSystem is listed as %T%n Operated by %s%nRegion %R, Hub %h%nPhone %P , Cost %c%nFlags %f%nPassword %w%n" is used. NODELIST --- @{b}Directory@{ub} where the nodelist files are kept. Defaults to "NodeList:" STRIPDASHES --- Remove dashes from phonenumber before searching. @endnode @remark &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& @node HIST "Version History" 26.11.95 -- Combined the source and distributions of FindPhone, FindPlace, FindSysop and FindSystem. -- Added STOP option -- Added LFORMAT option -- Fixed a memory leak -- Added VERBATIM option to all commands @endnode @remark &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& @node LEGAL "Disclaimer, Distrubution and Copyright" Disclaimer ~~~~~~~~~~ I hereby reject any liability or responsibility for these or any other consequences from the use of FindXXX whatsoever.
