Changes.doc: Here are the changes since the first beta release (v3.01) v3.03 1. Added multi-selection of files to be processed. presently, the files will only show up as marked (asterisked '*') if you don't change file areas. in other words, if you change the area, then change back, the files will not show up as marked, although they actually will be! (this not *really* what i would call satisfactory, but it's a start) 2. Added 'copy' menu to area editor window. This menu will allow copying area data to multiple file areas. I think the usage is fairly intuitive. i hope! :-} 3. fixed that little bug which causes pathnames to end up with '//' or ':/' on the end.... sorry 'bout that :-} 4. added a more useful title to the getlib requester to make it a little more obvious as to what is being requested. 5. main window now reports the correct version number. 6. added an ABORT button to the runtime message window. and a few other cosmetic things that aren't really worth mentioning ;-) v3.04 8. fixed a bug in the rename function that caused the file list display entry to appear instead of just the filename. 9. modified the multi-selection of files. filemaint can now remember which files are marked and which are not, although when processing files (ie move copy etc) only the current area will be processed for now... 10. file descriptions can now be changed from the gui. (i don't really like this method much, but it will have to do for now): 11. re-arranged the windows a bit. 12. added a range selection to enable partial area processing. 13. removed *lots* of stupid bugs! :-} v3.05 **KNOWN BUGS: *here is a list of *known* bugs - i will fix them as soon as i get around to it! :-} If you discover a bug that is not listed here, then please inform me asap! -> there is something wrong with the rescan (maybe others?) function that causes the file area list to become corrupt. i can't reliably repeat this error. if you figure it out, *please* let me know asap! :-o ->as this is virtually a brand new version, i have no idea what other bugs are still left from the old one, or what new nasties may now be lurking. please report all bugs asap. -> there *are* however, a few things that i know about that may or may not be called bugs: * the download button doesn't do anything yet either :-} * filemaint doesn't do anything with the archive 'pack' command, yet. * other stuff like the above... **Things to do: *These are some things that have been suggested by users of filemaint, or things that i want to do in the near future (or both!). If there is something else that you'd like to see here, please send mail to one of the addresses below. -> fix the above things! ;-) -> user-configurable file lists -> add upload name option to file list output -> split commandline and gui functions into two executables. the program is just getting TOO big, and takes far too long to load :( -> add file area grouping system.
