A4000 Harddisk-startup problem when powering up... 

Add a tantalium-capacitor, wich have a value of 10 to 47µF. Inside the
powersupply, on the backside of the PCB. It should be mounted in parallel
with C34, wich is located near IC7.

This capacitor, decides (only on powerup) how long time to wait, before
the computer will start to run...

It's not always necessary to cut pin1 on the 40pin flat-ribbon cable, to the
harddisks. But, it can together with the capacitor, solve your powerup boot-
problem.


A4000 FAST-RESET-BUTTON:

Sometimes lame programmers shut off the keyboard, so it will take a 
while before the computer resets... I HATE IT!!!

Solution: Pin1 on the powersupply plug (brown) is the PowerFail signal, coming
from the powersupply, this signal can be used to reset the computer... FAST...
Connect PIN1 to ground (shield metal) via at push-button switch for 
MEGA-FAST-RESET...

I have tested this several times, so i know it is ok...
