WHAT I THINK ABOUT SHAREWARE

I released one program (M2I) some time ago in the shareware concept and
received $ 0.00 , Lire 0 , DM 0.00 and so on...
This is my second trial.... probably the first program was not useful or
user friendly (M2I was a quick and dirty solution to my need of obtaining
Imagine object files about molecules).

This time the program has been compiled @{b}without@{ub} the important @{i}Save@{ui}
functions.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

This program uses the gadtools.library for the gadgets : it has been tested
only under Kickstart 2.1 and with Term 4.2 .

DESCRIPTION

- Do you use Term for interactive dial-out Internet connections ?
- Are you bored to type long commands ?
- Have you filled all the pfkeys definitions ?
- Want to use ARCHIE and get with some clicks of your mouse that particular
  file ?

Term + TermComp is the answer to your problems (I hope :-) ).

This program will open a window on the public screen of Term and allow you
to drive Term through its ARexx port. Some gadgets are available and their
name describes what will happen. Just edit the TermComp.prefs file to setup
your user@domain and the command-equivalents for the host you connect to.
I include a sample .prefs file for you : please note that after the ARCHIE
command sequence available at your host, you can place as many as you like
host names : you will be able to FTP from them simply selecting from a
listview.
If you want Term to send a blank queued to a command string, you MUST
specify it with \*032 just as described in TermRexx manual.

Sample session :

- specify a search string
- click on the SEARCH gadget
- get the search result from the capture file with the READ gadget
- choose from the search result with the SELECT gadget
- connect to that ftp site with the FTP gadget
- use the other gadgets to complete the connection (login, user, password)
- change to the desired directory with the CD gadget
- choose the transfer method (ascii, binary)
- get that filename with the GET gadget

To change the ftp site from your favourite list : click on the CHANGE FTP
SITE gadget and on the FTP one. Proceed as usual but typing the name of the
file to be retrieved.

If you have ready a request list prepared with IFR, then load it and select
a file-request : one at a time you will get everything noted with IFR while
reading magazines and announcements.
