QUiCK DOCS FOR "JiFFY DiSK" ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ cODED in AMOS Pro By ßudda/NFA GUI aLSO bY ßudda/NFA -+ AnoTHer NFA rEleASe! +- This program was written for me, just me. But I decided to let everyone use it as I think it looks pretty neat! PROGRAM USE: To produce text from printer which will fit on those sheets of tractor-type address labels. I just use the normal paper feed as it the labels were an A4 piece of paper and this works best. The printed labels can be used for jiffies and disks (the name!). The program has been written for my printer ( Citizen Swift 200 ) and the way in which I've got my paper margins set to. You will have to fiddle about if it isn't right for you. Try altering the preferences using the PD prefs program. HOW TO USE IT: The main window contains seven string gadgets each able to hold 40 characters. These will fit onto one label. To the right of each string gadget are three tick boxes which are switches for BOLD, ITALIC and UNDERLINE. A tick means that the text in the adjacent box will be formatted to the selected type. To the left of the string gadgets is another colum of tick boxes. A tick in one of these means that the line will be centred when it is PRINTED, and not before! You can hold sixteen labels in one go. You can move through labels with the relevant buttons on the right of the screen. The centreing on lines is not remembered for each label so you will have to set that yourself. If you want to keep the labels for later use you may save them to a standard ascii file. The file will be around approx 3k when all labels are used. Loading the labels back is also simple. All text formatting is saved but the centreing is not! Remember this! If you don't like the silly little tune you can turn it off by selecting the ABOUt option and clicking in the 'Music?' tick box. This program is free-ware so I don't want anything. Just keep this document file with the program at all times please! This is another NFA release. Look out for more of mine in the future.
