If you like it and use it, upload some on my board. I will not take any responsability for whatever this door does with your computer (It wont do anything but what it should, but you never know what those lamers do!). «-----------------------------------------------------------------------------» What it does! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This /X-door/util will let you add strings of text to the samplenames in a module! «-----------------------------------------------------------------------------» Why use this one then! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well, have you seen an util like this before? I've never seen one that can handle both "*.mod" and "mod.*" files, but this one! If you want it to handle both, it has to be installed as FILECHECK door, but can also be used as a standard filecheck door for "*.mod" files. «-----------------------------------------------------------------------------» Installation! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you run /X 3.x, copy all files I've supplied and your set. If you run /X 2.x or S-Express, insert the followin line to your "commands/sys.cmd" file. ---( cut )--- FILECHECK XM010DOORS:ModAdd/ModAdd.x ---( cut )--- If you want to use it as a standard filechecker, you have to figure out how to istall it by yourself. The really big advantage with this program is if you use it as a FILECHECK door. However, either one of the above you choose, you must now edit your configfile! It should be named "DOORS:ModAdd/ModAdd.cfg" and can ceep the following options. COMPRESS - This keyword tells the adder to compress the files with PowerPacker. If this is going to work, you need "Libs:powerpacker.library" and "C:crunch" available. XPK - This tells the adder to decrunch XPK modules before adding to them! PP - This tells the adder to decrunch PP modules before adding to them! The two options above needs all libraries except "asl.library" and "C:xup" to work! The rest of the lines in the configfile should be the lines to add. "30-Total Inferno" means that the adder should add "Total Inferno" to samplename nr. 30. Don't forget the "-" between samplenr and the addstring, and don't try samplenr's above 31, coz it wont work! :) If you wish to use this util from SHELL, there are two ways. If ModAdd is called without options, it put's up an asl-requester, with wich you can select modules to add to. Otherwise, it can be run with "ModAdd.x a " to add to the module called . I hope you understand how to put it in "BBS:FCheck" now. «-----------------------------------------------------------------------------» These are the ß-sites for all my doors/utils! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Disorder Marwin ++46-456-27511 Forbidden Dreams Manta ++46-411-12894 Total Inferno Tango ++46-42-234164 Twisted Society The Big Byte ++46-44-106144 All my utils should be free dl, otherwise tell me and I'll kick that ß-tester.
