WELCOME TO THE PAGESTREAM 3.0a FREE UPDATE INSTALLER!

The 3.0aUpdate directory contains an installation script to install
PageStream 3.0a. You MUST have PageStream 3.0 properly installed on your
hard drive to use this installation script, and you MUST have disk 1 of
your original PageStream3 disk set available.

If you have 4MB or less memory available, you should drag the 3.0aUpdate
directory to your hard drive and then delete it from RAM:, if it is
currently in RAM:. The installation script runs a patch program which
requires a good deal of memory due to the size of the program it is
patching. You will need 4MB of free hard drive space to run the patch from
your hard drive. If you decide to leave it in RAM:, delete the original
archive from RAM if it is there to ensure as much memory as possible is
available. Keep a copy of this archive on a disk in case you need it
again. You should make a backup copy of your current PageStream3 program
before running the installation script.

SO THE PATCHFILE IS NO LONGER NEEDED. SIMPLY FORGET ABOUT THAT...

If you some reason you need to install this update manually, simply
decompress each of the LHA files using the LHEX program on disk 1 of your
original disks (or another LHA type utility) and copy the decompressed
files to the appropriate directory. (Refer to page 6 of your manual for
the PageStream3 directory structure.) The Patch.LHA archive contains the
PageStream3.pch file. You must run the spatch utility included with the
PGS30A.LHA archive to create your 3.0a version of PageStream3. The syntax
is:

spatch -oPageStream3:PageStream3.0a -pPageStream3.pch PageStream3:PageStream3

After you are done, delete PageStream3:PageStream3, and then rename
PageStream3.0a to PageStream3.
