With this tool it is easy to find out which files a BBS has which another BBS doesn't have. Those dirlists should be in the same format as they are used by Ami-Express. This way you don't have to download the whole file-list. All duplicate files which are in the file-list are eliminated. If you load a file then the filenames and its' sizes and dates are extracted from the file and put in the list. If you load another file in the other list, then only the files are shown which are not in the other list. So if a file 'FOO.LHA' also exists in the other list it is simply not shown. After double-clicking the dirlist is read and the selected file is searched, then the description is extracted and shown in a seperate window. @EndNode **************************************************************************** @Node "Selecting files" @{b} Selecting files @{ub} After you loaded the two lists you, can select the files which you are willing to trade from one BBS to the other. You can do this by selecting the files one by one or by using the 'All'-button bellow the list. The 'All'-button selects all the files in a list. Files with a comment in the file-size such as 'NUKED' are not selected. The 'All till'-button selects all files till the active item in the list. This comes handy if you only want to trade files which are not older than a specific date, since ProTrade can sort the files by date. If you only want to select e.g. all files of today, than you scroll to the last item in the list with today's dat and select that item, then select 'All till' and all files till that one will be selected except the 'nuked' ones. With the 'None'-button you can of coarse deselect all the files. @EndNode **************************************************************************** @Node "Copy to clipboard" @{b} Copy to clipboard @{ub} After you have selected the files you want to trade, you can push the 'Copy'-button to copy all the selected files to a string with the string 'A ' prepended to the clipboard. Now you can just go to your Comm-programm and paste that string (In most cases this will be +). It has three different choices: New: Show only files which are not in the other list. Old: Show only files which are in the other list. There are two possible choices: Sort by date: Sort all files by date, with newest files at top. Per date the files are sorted by name. The left one shows the number of selected files, and the right one shows the number of bytes of those selected files.
