Assign Ncomm: 2. Copy HydraCom and Hydra.script to Ncomm: 3. Edit this in the the Hydra.script file: 'Ncomm:HydraCom speed 57600' or: 'Ncomm:HydraCom speed 38400' (The one who suits you the best) Also change 'receive Work:dl/' to the path where you like to have the files you download placed. 4. Snap this and put it in a HOT-key in Ncomm: {script}NComm:Hydra.script 5. Choose 'SHARED' in the COM menu in Ncomm. 6. That's it.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hOW tO uSE iT! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Call the board using ncomm as you always have! :) 2. Type 'W' at the prompt and choose /X HYDRA (BI-DIRECTIONAL) as your TRANSFER PROTOCOL. Don't forgett to change back to Z MODEM when you don't want to use Hydra anymore. 3. Tag the files you would like to leech. i.e. 2974 mins, (Ratio Disabled), Filespec(1): VMM_V2.0.LHA Checking... 100k, 1 mins 11 secs VMM_V2.0.LHA 2973 mins, (Ratio Disabled), Filespec(2): /X HYDRA (BI-DIRECTIONAL) Batch Download Estimate: 1 files, 100k bytes, 1 mins 11 secs LAST CHANCE! (Enter) to Start, (G)oodbye after transfer, (A)bort? Ofcoz you can flag your files in 'Newfiles' or 'Files-reverse' as usuall. So.. When you have reached this part: LAST CHANCE! (Enter) to Start, (G)oodbye after transfer, (A)bort? 4. Start the Hydra script (using the HOT-key you fixed b4!). 5. Activate the lowest window in the HydraCom screen. Choose upload in the menu in HydraCom, choose the files you would like to upload, then just press return a couple of times of you go.. Both uploading and downloading at once.. (isn't it a nice feeling?!) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This will show in the HydraCom window: /X HYDRA (BI-DIRECTIONAL): Ready to Send Control-X to Cancel cA\f5\a3a * Hydra session in init state, can't chat yet * Hydra session in progress, chat facility now available ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And when you're done UL/DL this will show: .----------------------------------------------. | UL 1 file(s), 56kb, 2243 cps, 155 % eff | | DL 1 file(s), 100kb, 1634 cps, 113 % eff | `----------------------------------------------' File transfer Completed. File Uploading Complete... Time increased by 0 min(s) 39 sec(s). Then you just have to fix it like normaly with file-descriptions or private uploads.. But you'll do that in your HydraCom window. Anyways, file_id usually takes care of the lot so nothing to worry about. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have installed everything as I said in this doc and still can't get it working.. Sell your computer and buy beer for the money.
