  Preface
  =======

  This archive contains a patch file for well known Commodore font editor
  named FED. FED is is not brand-new product but some people (including
  myself) still uses it. Program works and does what you expect, but
  there are two annoying things in it: weird and completely useless
  font requester (without any sign of sorting routines!) and no
  shortcuts. During my work on W.F.M.H. LocalePL package I used FED very
  often and one day I decided to improve it a bit to speed up my work.
  Due of small amount of free time, I fixed only the second thing, the
  shortcuts. I'll implement asl's font requester in the next release, if
  someone will ask about this.


  Installation
  ============

  You need original FED version 1.3 to patch it to v1.41. Spatch is placed
  in this archive and should be run as follow:

  spatch -oFed1.41 -pFed.pch Fed

  where: 'Fed1.41' is the result file contains new version of FED,
         'Fed.pch' is the patch file,
         'Fed'     is the original version in executable form.

  There's simplier way to patch FED. Just place original FED in the same
  drawer the patch file is (and rename it to 'Fed') and type:

  spatch Fed

  and run the file named 'Fed.new'.
