As many will well know, this is a remake (not remix) of the C64 tune from "Last Ninja 2" (System 3). In particular the tune is from the Central Park level of the game. So why bother? Nostalgia says it all -plus it was another excuse for me to have a bit more play with Med synth sounds. Hold it! Hold it! Okay, the main "synth sound" is actually a sample.. sort of.. okay, I generated it with a tiny C program in order to achieve the resolution similar to the original SID waveform. I would have stuck to the Med synth sounds as found in "Ad Infinitum" but I don't think the short waves give as much atmosphere so I had to construct it myself -hence the tune is over 100K instead of something like 15/20K! This tune is especially dedicated to all the C64 nostalgia bunch out there -yes, hello Olly, Nemesis in particular. Many thanks must go to Ray for all the encouragement and suggestions. Perhaps I'll be able to take some of them up now the exams are over! Thanks to all who constructively criticise. Big flames go to whowever placed "Harder Faster" onto the "Sounds Terrific" CD by Weird Science. Are you people incapable of reading and honouring peoples' wishes? That tune should NEVER have appeared on that CD without my permission -I have explicitly said over and over again *NOT* to include any of these mods without the readme files. Send me a free CD and I may shut up! :-) Yes, I'm watching.. Anyway folks, you are still encouraged to spread the mods as always but DO NOT INCLUDE THEM IN ANY RELEASE without consent from me first of all.
