LumpWorld
Using an Essence texture to provide a lumpy effect, and also
to produce the semi-transparent ring, this lo-res image took
about 5 minutes to render on an A4000/030.


Media
Ray tracing is the perfect way to create titles and logos.
This Imagine image took over an hour to render on an 
A4000/030, mainly because of the shadow effect - you
judge whether the extra time was worth it. The excellent
flagstones were produced by Essence, as in fact, were all
the textures - including the wavey blue water background,
and eteched bronze effect on the words.


Tower
Work of art - or pile of rubbish? It took 2 minutes on
an Amiga 4000, so it doesn't really matter, does it?


Urgh
Using one of Imagine's best known objects - the Beethoven
bust - and adding a digitised backdrop and an Essence texture
will produce some most, erm, 'interesting' results. Imagine
this image animated, with the texture crawling over the face...

Essence and Essence II are programs unique to Imagine. They
provide a huge collection of procedural textures and physical
attributes of incredible quality. Both packages are available
from 3D experts Alternative Image and any serious Imagine user
