This small intermediate update to Magnum Opus is being released in response
to the feedback from the people on the ImageFX mailing list. This update
will NOT be made available on Aminet.

Contained in the current version of Magnum Opus (V3.1a) there is a filetype
for the thumbnails ("ImageFX thumbnail, IFF NAIL") created by ImageFX. At
the time of release the only way to view these was with the Browser
supplied with ImageFX.

In recent weeks there has been some discussion on the ImageFX mailing list
about producing a Workbench datatype for these. Thanks to Don Paul and
Andreas Ralph Kleinert the writer of the akNAIL datatype, there is now a
datatype available on Aminet. (util/dtype/akNAIL-dt.lha)

This archives contains two new replacement Directory Opus Magellan
filetypes to take advantage of this Workbench datatype. Please delete the
older "ImageFX thumbnail, IFF NAIL" filetype and replace it with the newer
ones supplied here.

ImageFX, 12bit thumbnail.
ImageFX, 24bit thumbnail.

Double clicking on these will use the built in Magellan picture viewer.
There is also an option on the popup menus to load them into the Browser
supplied with ImageFX, you may need to change the path in the filetypes
depending on where you have ImageFX installed.

Any bugs, problems, suggestions etc. on these filetypes should be sent to
me at the email address at the top of this document. Any correspondence in
relation to the Workbench datatype should be made to the author.
