Test cricket ground in Nottingham, home of
the Nottinghamshire county side. One of the
oldest cricket grounds in Britain, it was
opened 1838. The ground covers approximately
2.5 hectares and the present-day capacity is
around 30,000. A crowd of 101,886 watched the
England-Australia Test match in 1948. It has
staged Test cricket since 1899.
