Crassulaceae, a succulent herb with fleshy
leaves and clusters of star-like flowers.
They are characteristic of dry rocky places
and some grow on walls. Biting stonecrop
Sedum acre is a low-growing evergreen with
bright yellow flowers in early summer. It
lives on dry grassland, shingle, and on walls
in Europe, N Asia and N Africa. It gets its
name from its peppery taste.
