Trilogy of Greek plays by Aeschylus -
Agamemnon, Choephoroe, and Eumenides - which
won first prize at the festival of Dionysus
in 458 BC. They describe the murder of
Agamemnon by his wife Clytemnestra and the
consequent vengeance of his son Orestes and
daughter Electra.
