Last of the Mogul emperors of India.
He reigned, though in name only, as
king of Delhi 1837-57, when he was hailed by
the mutineers of the Sepoy Rebellion as an
independent emperor at Delhi. After the
rebellion he was exiled to Burma with his
family.
