1869-1943. Norwegian sculptor. He studied in
Oslo and Copenhagen and with Rodin in Paris
1892. His programme of sculpture in Frogner
Park, Oslo, conceived in 1900, was never
finished. The style is heavy and monumental;
the sculpted figures and animals enigmatic.
