1900-1976. Scottish comedy actor. Possessed
of a marvellously expressive face, he was
ideally cast in eccentric roles, as in the
title role in Scrooge 1951. His other films
include Inspector Hornleigh 1939, Green for
Danger 1945, and The Belles of St Trinians
1954.
