1871-1928. Yugoslav nationalist politician,
born near Fiume. He led the Croat national
movement within the Austro-Hungarian Empire,
and supported union with Serbia 1919. His
opposition to Serbian supremacy within
Yugoslavia led to his murder in the
parliament house.
