1921- . US actress who was discovered by
producer Howard Hughes. Her first film, The
Outlaw 1943, was not properly released for
several years owing to censorship problems.
Her other films include The Paleface 1948,
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes 1953, and The Revolt
of Mamie Stover 1957. She retired in 1970.
