1912- . US actor who moved to the cinema from
radio. He was one of the original singing
cowboys of the 1930s and 1940s. Confined to
B-films for most of his career, he appeared
opposite Bob Hope and Jane Russell in Son of
Paleface 1952. His other films include The
Big Show 1936 and My Pal Trigger 1946.
