hallmarked by its stylish visual appeal and
imaginative, often offbeat treatment of
subjects. His films include Performance 1970,
Walkabout 1971, Don't Look Now 1973, The Man
Who Fell to Earth 1976, Insignificance 1984,
and Track 29 1988. He began as a clapper boy
1950, and was a cinematographer by 1959. In
the 1960s he was a cameraman and writer.
