US literary magazine, founded by Harriet
Monroe, with Ezra Pound as foreign editor. It
introduced many major modern poets, including
T S Eliot, Wallace Stevens, William Carlos
Williams, Marianne Moore, and Carl Sandburg,
and printed the manifesto of Imagism. It is
still published.
