Anecdotes of the late Samuel Johnson 1786 and
their correspondence 1788. Johnson had been a
constant visitor to her house in Streatham,
London, when she was married to her first
husband, Henry Thrale, but after Thrale's
death Johnson was alienated by her marriage
to the musician Gabriel Piozzi. Thraliana,
her diaries and notebooks of the years
1766-1809, was published 1942.
