1940- . US golfer, nicknamed `the Golden
Bear'. He won a record 20 major titles,
including 18 professional majors between 1962
and 1986. Nicklaus played for the US Ryder
Cup team six times 1969-81 and was nonplaying
captain 1983 and 1987 when the event was
played over the course he designed at
Muirfield Village, Ohio. He was voted the
