1889-1957. British writer. He produced
studies of Dostoievsky, Keats, Blake, and
Shakespeare, poetry, and an autobiographical
novel, Still Life 1916. In 1913 he married
Katherine Mansfield, whose biography he
wrote. He was a friend of D H Lawrence.
