1916- . US violinist. A child prodigy, he
achieved great depth of interpretation, and
was often accompanied on the piano by his
sister Hephzibah (1921-81). He conducted his
own chamber orchestra and founded a school in
Surrey, England, 1963 for training young
musicians.
